This is what I think it means:
I think Mr. Brightside is like the explantion of Jenny Was a Friend of Mine (the song before Mr.Brightside on the cd) In Jenny it's about a guy who kills his girlfriend or maybe his best friend and then the cops get him and question him, and after that he has to go to jail. Mr. Brightside starts with "I'm coming out of my cage", so I think that now he's out of jail and sees all the things that have happened and changed since he stayed in jail. So he starts with telling about that he was doing fine with her but then she gets more distant of him because he is becoming arrogant ("because I want It all") So he sees her kissing someone else and then he asks himself "how it could end up like this" but he just doesn't want to admit that things are "falling apart" between them. Then he sees the girl leaving with the other guy and he is starting to get really jealous. Now he just pretends he didn't see anything and then the next time he sees her (Jenny was a friend of mine), they have a fight because of what he saw and she gets angry and the jealousy comes up again and he kills her. I think this, but now please tell me what do you think "Mr. Brightside" song means?

mmm first of all great songs, i don't know much 'bout "jenny wa a friend of mine" but "mr. brightside" it's one of my favorite killer's songs. The exact meaning i don't know it for sure, but i think it's a guy that is in love with a girl, but she was just playing with him, and now she is woth another guy...

I think booth songs wrote after the history love broken. Some time the man don’t precise their couple and after that, their’s star to considerate. In my opinion Mr. Brightside wrote fist and Jeny was a friend of mine wrote second. Some time the history love doesn’t finish well and this is an example. Some time is difficult accept when your boyfriend o girlfriend is not with you and when you hope say something can be late and some people can lost de control.
In my opinion the songs really like me and I don’t have the opportunity the listen carefully but now I can speak about this. I think the exercise was excellent but is not the same describing whit words and trite understand and just speak.

I think that these songs are interesting but in Mr. Brightside the interpretation of the band in the video is very strange.
The songs haven’t a sequence, but are only a personal opinion, because in “Jenny was a friend of mine” talk about a love murder and the boy is interrogate for policemen because he is a principal suspicious because the girl die in his arms. He say that Jenny was his friend and there are not motive for this crime.
While Mr. Brightside talk about a love impossible because the boy be in love of a Lady of the Gallant Life and her boss made to the impossible for impede your love.

I have never listened this songs, and I thing that are very dramatic songs. I think booth songs are reflected everyday life, loves historys sads are very coomon in this days, and it`s very difficult situation to accept that your couple to go away and you have to begining again. It`s a bad experiences, however, you can learn about this situations day after day.
I have never heard these songs before, and I couldn’t watch the videos, so I think is hard to get the real meaning of the songs. Reading the opinions in the blog I could understand a little more it. At first, I think that, like a lot of artists, this author is a little crazy. I’m agree with Orlando about the song “Mr Brightside” in the second part of “Jenny was a friend of mine”. But I think he’s still in the jail and he imagines that he comes out of his cage and he feels fine. And when he imagines that can see his girlfriend he starts to imagine that she’s with another guy and this situation sick him. He says in the song “ it’s all in my head”, but those dreams “kills him”, so he wants to open his “eager eyes” and continues being Mr. Brightside.
Another good opinion was written by Carlos Omar. Maybe is in different order. First he meet Jenny and pay her for a kiss, I mean, she sales her love in the streets. So, they start with a kiss and it finishes when he falls asleep and she leaves the place calling a cab. (This part shows that they had a time together but then she leaves him alone) Then he stays in his house and she goes to bed with another guy (is normal in street girls’ life), so when he starts thinking she is with another person and another guy is touching “his” girl and taking off her dress, he feels sick and his dreams “kills” him. ….So, the next time he sees Jenny (in the other song) he doesn’t let her go, and he kills her because he’s jealous.
My final opinion is that when we feel our heart is broken we can imagine a lot of stupid things. Maybe we can imagine our couple being with another person and we can feel jealousy with these dreams and in our head can do a lot of things: we cry, we scream… we kill them, but is only desperate dreams and in the real life we continue being the same person and we don’t do anything. So, I think the people that can write a song, is people with a lot of imagination and they do a lot of great songs with the things in their heads.

I think the song "Jenny was a friend of mine" was wrote first, start with a fight and the girl broke up with the gay because she thinks that he is shitting her, he is traying to explain that she is only a friend but she doesn´t believes, and Mr. Brightside the guy is watching her with another guy and he says that he is jealous but he said in the song: "But it´s just the price I pay, destiny is calling me" so I think that he regrets and still love her, but is late because she is with another guy.

My opinion of the song is:
The 1st Mr. Brightside, song was the best, because is sad and you start to think about the jealously of the people and usually hurt very much when you really love.
